How do you install a rear main seal on a 351 Cleveland? You need to unbolt the engine mounts and use an engine crane or similar to lift the engine just enough to be able to slide the engine sump forward enough to expose the rear main bearing. You can then use a "Sneaky Pete" to remove and install the rope seal. A sneaky pete will set you back about $40 from memory and is made by Lisele I think.
