Is there a fuel pump in the 1.7 Astra?

I note that the 1.7 Astra does not have a fuel pump in the tank as the 1.3 and 1.9 do. If so surely there is no way the high pressure pump in the engine will drag fuel up form the tank. Dont know what to do really… do I need to bleed the air out of the system some how? Has anyone ever had this probelm before? All help much appreciated!
