What causes subwoofer thump?

What causes subwoofer thump?

If you hear that the car subwoofer installed into your car makes a thump sound on the startup when turning on the vehicle engine, it is audible because the amp is turning on sooner than the stereo. This causes a small spike in the voltage down the RCA cables making the car subwoofer go thump when turning off.

Why are my subwoofers not hitting hard?

Head unit settings: Make sure your subwoofer level is all the way up on the head unit, bass boost off on the head unit, Equalization set to completely flat. Low pass filter 80. set the gains with a digital multi-meter, google up the DMM method. To be honest, I just dont see this setup working well at all.

Why do I get Thump sound from my subwoofer?

Do not use the “auto” or “auto-detect” setting. The “Auto” setting can cause the receiver to take a little longer to “lock” on to the audio signal. This delay may exceed the time the pre-out jack is muted—-and you end up with the “thump” sound from the subwoofer.

Why does my sump pump make a thumping sound when it shuts off?

In reality, most any check valve has the potential to cause that “klunking or thumping” sound when the pump shuts off. This is due to the immediate flow reversal of water in the discharge pipe and the slamming shut of the flapper valve. This noise can be minimized and sometimes eliminated by following some basic steps.

How to stop the thud of your sump pump or ejector pump?

Another option would be to mount your check valve at a 45 degree angle. This will help to reduce the sudden reverse pressure and noise for the check valve closing. If you have additional questions, please let me know. Reply Parker 12/12/2014 11:05:10 pm Thanks for replying…and quickly too!

Why does my subwoofer pop when I change settings?

So when you change inputs or change listening modes and you hear the subwoofer (or any speaker) “pop” this indicates that particular pre-out jack is not being muted….or not being muted for a long enough period of time. This can indicate there is a failed diode / circuit in the receiver.
