Every 8-10 starts the car will crank for a long time until eventually it won’t start. But then it will start the second time okay. (the other starts between the intermittent problem are okay as well, if a little delayed.)

Why does my Ford Falcon not start when I turn it on?
The bro-inlaws Falcon also does this. It’s the ignition lock. Spray some WD40 in it and work the lock a bit. This and regular ignition coil failure about every 70K are well know Falcon problems. I have exactly the same problem. When mine does it, the brake warning light comes on when everything goes off when you turn it to start.
