Can a low pressure tire light be replaced?

Can a low pressure tire light be replaced?

The TPMS doesn’t have an effect on the operation of the car other than turning on the “low pressure” light. So that $74 sensor can be replaced with a $5 pressure gauge, a piece of electrical tape over the light, and a few minutes every couple weeks to check the pressure. TPMS is a handy system, but its too expensive for what it does, in my opinion.

Is the tire light warning after new tires installed?

Got the new tires the other day (Thursday) from a tire chain store. As I was driving off, I noticed the tire light warning turned on and then moments later, it turned off. I thought maybe it was just that. Today (Saturday) the tire light went on again.

Why is my TPMS warning light on my spare tire?

Don’t Forget The Spare. If your vehicle has a TPMS, it’s probably monitoring the pressure in your spare tire. Therefore, if you get a low tire pressure warning light, and if you’ve checked all four tires that are touching the ground, than you might need to put some air in the spare.

What to look for when your TPMS light is on?

Check for any signs of sagging or deformities in your tires’ shape. Also look for an “egg” in your tire sidewalls…a tire with a damaged sidewall can fail without warning at any speed above 25 mph. As you can imagine, surprise tire failures at high speeds can be a bit dicey. So check your tires carefully.

Why is my tire light not turning off?

Brought the car back to tire store and the service manager checked the pressure, the tires were all low pressure, 29-30 psi instead of 35s. He re-inflated them all but the tire light will not turn off.
