Are there distributorless tachometer adapters for coil pack ignitions?
These tachometer adapters are designed for vehicles with coil pack or coil-over-plug ignition systems where no tachometer output or signal wire is available. They allow most late model distributorless vehicles to have a tachometer and/or shift light installed. Will this get my New Vintage 67 Series tach to work with my 4.6L mod motor swap?

Can a tachometer be used with an AutoMeter adapter?
We recommend use of an AutoMeter brand instrument with this product to ensure best performance and compatibility, but the adapter does output a signal that should be usable by most aftermarket tachometers as the community response indicates. 0 of 0 found this answer helpful. I used it on an ls1 due to loss of ecu rpm signal.
How to wire a tachometer to a 9117 adapter?
You will cut this wire in half, then wire the 9117 adapter between the two cut halves. The adapter will then produce a usable tachometer signal output.
