I am getting horrible fuel mileage on a 2002 Ford F150 5.4. Could it be the o2 sensors going bad. no light in on just started getting bad fuel mileage. the last tank was 13.3 mpg. the tank before that was 14.6. I use cruise when possible and keep the rpm’s below 2000. KLM air filter is clean, tires are at 33 psi.

What does it mean when Your MPG drops 20%?
BTW, there is a code if the ECT (engine coolant temp) does not come up withing a certain time frame. You could also have a fuel leak. My 2010 FIT dropped 20% immediately upon moving to a much colder climate. I checked tire pressure and changed air filter, changed gas stations. Still off by 20% ( 10 miles per gallon).
