Why does my 2018 Dodge Ram take so long to shift?
I bough a new 2018 Ram 1500 a few months back and have started to notice that when i am driving slow the transmission takes forever to figure out that it needs to shift to a lower gear which causes a bit of vibration. Is this something that is common with these trucks or do i need to get it looked at?

Is there a problem with the Aisin transmission on a Ram 3500?
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I have a 2016 Ram 3500 with the Aisin transmission bought it new. This just started about 2-3 months ago. When i let the truck set for 2 weeks or more it will not move when i put it in gear, forward or reverse, for about 5-10 seconds.

When i let the truck set for 2 weeks or more it will not move when i put it in gear, forward or reverse, for about 5-10 seconds. I think it’s the fluid draining out of the torque converter. Before this started a few months ago it has sat for a few months and it worked fine.

When to turn off overdrive on Dodge Ram?
Turn off the OVERDRIVE is smart practice especially when towing heavy! Turning OFF OVERDRIVE while driving in city traffic stops the car/truck from shifting into OVERDRIVE at low speeds “LUGGING”. Shifting to overdrive at slow speeds is COSTING you MPG because you are “LUGGING” the motor,rather than it be in the proper gear!!
