Where is the bonnet open warning on the titanium?
The bonnet open warning is coming up on the dash panel on the Wifes 2009 Titanium.. This has happened a couple of times.. Cant undestand why…. Also and this may be related the blooming alarm has gone off 3 or four times over the last few days and Im wondering if the tow are related ?
Why does the bonnet open when its closed?
IE the bonnet sensor is triggering the alarm ? Of course the two may be unrelated but I do need to sort this as the alarm went off a 1 and 3.15 this morning…..Mmmm Thanks ! Thanks for the replies.. Does anyone have a diagram that shows the position of said switch ? I see wiring connections to the bonnet catch so assume its within the mechanism ?
What to do if your car’s bonnet is open?
So with the bonnet open get back in your car and the same latch that you pulled to open the bonnet push it in so that it is fully flush and in the closed position. Checked the switch and it all seemed Good for several weeks however became very annoying after a trip to essex on the weekend, must of had warning displayed 100 times when accelerating up to Max speed limit. Im hoping to have the new switch delivered so i can fit it over the weekend and the problem go away !

Thank you for your kind words. Bonnet open warning light on. I have a 2005 C 180 Kompressor. the bonnet open warning light comes on even though bonnet is securely shut, but only when the car is moving, and goes off when it is stationary – e.g. traffic light. any thoughts on this? Just to clarify….
