Check that battery cables are tight (both ends) and the plastic insulation is good everywhere. A short can kill the engine with some bucking. If it just shuts down ike the key was turned off, check your ignition module (computer) is plugged in securely and check your coil wire is tightly plugged in ( on your distributor).
