Why does the bucket on my tractor not uncurl?
Why does the bucket on my tractor not uncurl?
While using the tractor the other day, I accidentally dug the edge of the bucket into the ground while driving forward at speed. The hit was pretty hard, and my chest slammed into the steering wheel. After that impact, the bucket no longer un-curls. It curls fine.
Why is my backhoe bucket lift not working?
CAT 416 Backhoe. The bucket lift suddenly became very weak and would hardly lift half way up. Working another control would seem to make the bucket lift momentarily. All the other hydraulics still worked flawlessly. The problem turned out being the o-ring seals on the check valves in the hydraulic valve group.
Why is the front of my tractor not lifting?
It won’t lift the front of the tractor. You can curl the bucket so it does and then hit the lift lever and it will expand the lifting cylinders, but it won’t squeeze them closed. Well i didn’t find out exactly what part failed, but it was six dollars and a whole lot more in labor. Oddly enough they messed up the bucket tilt now.
Why does my bucket not uncurl from the ground?
So there is nothing wrong with the curl cylinders. Any ideas what this could be? The other odd behavior is that the curl circuit will not depressurize. In other words, even if I turn the tractor off, lower the bucket to the ground, and then move the joystick around, the curl circuit remains fully pressurized.

Why does my boom lift not tilt forward?
In recent times the bucket has not tilted forward it is only the boom lift dropping that is the problem. When I tried what you said it did not have the problem. I am thinking that it is not worth trying to fix anything until the problem gets worse or I can identify what is the problem by doing what you said.

Why does my bucket not uncurl when I hit it?
After that impact, the bucket no longer un-curls. It curls fine. It goes up and down fine, but if you try to uncurl, it moves about 1 inch and then stops. I tried reversing the hydraulic lines (curl hydraulic circuit to lift cylinders, and vice versa), and the curl feature then works fine. So there is nothing wrong with the curl cylinders.
Why does my bucket not depressurize when I hit the wheel?
This is because it has a piloted check valve in the lift and curl circuits. If you damaged the piloted check valves, that would explain why the rod side of the cylinder will not depressurize. Maybe damage to the spool valve? Did you have your hand on the lever when you hit the wheel?

Why does my front end loader not lift?
If the fluid is low they will not lift, yet the curl cylinders will work because they are much smaller capacity. Click to expand… After I blew the lines for the loader cylinders out I also blew air through the quick disconnects while I had all the hoses off. Hooked everything back up and things are working again.
