Look up near the top of the glove box door, you will see how to drop the glovebox all the way. There are two of the actuators they are easily accessible from the glove box. I believe the temperature svtuator is on the left, and the inlet actuator is further back on the right side.

Where is the actuator on a 2011 Impala?
The one behind glove box mounted on passenger side of center column which would be left side of glove box opening…..it was making loud tapping noise for years and finally had enough….bought new actuator and replaced it and it is doing same noise when put temp control to cool or hot.
