What is the flow rate of a Haltech injector?

What is the flow rate of a Haltech injector?

High VE numbers at idle . 70 to 72 . My injectors are rated at 1206cc at 4 bar which I believe equates to 1000ish at 3 bar . Anyway after having my injectors tested and even making a test rig to check them myself they do indeed flow as advertised . I had to change the size input to 600 cc to get the VE numbers down 50% also .

Why is the injector flow rate always constant?

My understanding is that the injector flow rate should be constant (same values in the whole table), because the fuel pressure at the rail is constant due to the 1:1 regulator. So youcould set the base fuel pressure to 4 bar with the engine off and fuel system pressurized,m or engine on and vacuum line disconnected from regulator.

How to set the injector flow rate and set the dead time?

Now go to your injector dead time/latency tables and take note of the injector dead time value for the voltage that you are currently seeing in your tuning software. For example, if you are currently seeing 14.0 volts, only adjust the box for 14.0 volts.

Why are my injector dead times not accurate?

Anyone who as installed aftermarket injectors before probably ran across the issue of not having accurate injector dead time values to enter into their tuning software or having an engine run too rich or too lean using the fuel injectors advertised flow-rates.

What causes an injector to have a higher dead time?

The amount of latency an injector requires is dependent on several factors such as the size of fuel injectors, viscosity of fuel, manifold pressure, and fuel pressure. Lower battery voltage requires increased injector latency (dead time). Likewise, higher fuel pressure may also increase the injector’s latency.

Why does a fuel injector take so long to open?

All fuel injectors require a certain amount of time to fully open which is referred to as Injector Latency. The amount of latency an injector requires is dependent on several factors such as the size of fuel injectors, viscosity of fuel, manifold pressure, and fuel pressure.

Now go to your injector dead time/latency tables and take note of the injector dead time value for the voltage that you are currently seeing in your tuning software. For example, if you are currently seeing 14.0 volts, only adjust the box for 14.0 volts.

How much fuel does a 19 pound per hour injector flow?

For example, a 19 pound per hour (Lb/Hr.) injector flow 19 pounds of fuel in one hour at 100% duty cycle and 43.5 psi of fuel pressure. Injectors in imported vehicles are often rated in cubic centimeters per minute (cc/min) instead of pounds per hour.
