How does the smart lock work on a Falcon 4LTR?
(EF Falcon 4ltr) When you turn the key to the “on” position, the “Smart Lock” light flashes 5 times in a row, then stops, and repeats for few times, after which it just goes balistic. The starter motor works, but the smart lock doesn’t allow for fuel or spark or something. What do i do?
Can a smartsheild be removed from a Ford Falcon?
The Smartsheild system CANNOT be Hotwired, (I.E. Bypassed by shorting, or disconnecting wiring), nor can it be simply removed. As mentioned above, these parts are electronically totally separate to one another. This means that the ignition cut-out will work automatically, regardless of the Keyfob operation.

does anyone know the codes for el smart lock (eg flashes 8 times) & how to reset after to reset system. car cranks but does not start (fuel pump does not pulse when ignition turned on) You have a code 5 (5 flashes) which means that wire 1 (earth) or wire 3 (clock signal) is broken somewhere between the lock and the BCM.
