Why is my Ford Focus stalling after filling up?
If you have rough idle and/or stalling immediately after filling up, it’s the purge valve. The purge valve will have to be replaced and the line between the EVAP canister and the purge valve will have to be cleaned out. Also check for raw fuel in the canister, if any is found, the canister will have to be replaced.
Why do I have trouble restarting my fuel tank?
It’s possible that there is some gunk at the bottom of the tank that is stirred up when you add gas and then it temporarily clogs the fuel filter making restarting difficult. This filter may not be in great shape anyway.

Exact same symptoms. i have. 2015 Ford Focus sedan after fueling it dies try again it will crank for a couple secs and start idle rough tap the gas a couple times and it’s fine every time after fill up it starts no problem On the ST’s that issue is caused by a faulty purge valve. There is a recall for it.

Why does my Car start after I fill up the gas tank?
When I fill the gas tank up, the car has trouble starting. It happened several times already. I would then try for a while until I start it up again. After that, the car would run fine until I fill the gas tank up the following time. I went to a shop for this but they couldn’t fix it. Do you have any idea why this happens? Thank you.
