Why are my windshield wipers not working on my Ford Focus?

Ok update to the Ford Focus windshield wipers not working….If anyone has recently changed their battery only to find that the negative battery terminal is grossly corroded because you can’t see it under the rear battery cover, this could also cause wipers to fail.

Why are my focus fanatics wipers not working?

The only thing that has changed is I replaced my radio with a Kenwood headunit and a Maestro RR to retain Sync, is it possible this may have something to do with it? I hope someone has an idea before I take it in to be serviced. Any thoughts from anyone? Anyone?

Why does the rear wiper not work with the front wiper?

The rear wiper works fine but the front won’t respond to anything I try. Reset the battery and it didn’t fix it. I’m kind of at a loss as to what my next step should be in diagnosing this problem so if anyone has any ideas or has experienced this in the past please hit me with some knowledge! Jumped it and had to keep jumping it every other day for a couple of weeks before I gave in and took it to ford for service. (Side note: after one of the jumps, both front wipers came on and started working but were uncontrollable via the stick inside the car, and eventually turned off after about 5 minutes.
