My 08 has been a pleasure. I have had a couple issues along the way but nothing major; door lock (replaced under warr), leaking trans lines (I fixed it with a repair kit; easy), and a leaky third brake light gasket.

Having a problem with my 2008 gmc 2500 hd diesel. Keeps poping po672 code but runs fine. Need to know were the #2 glow plug is. Is in 2,4,6,8 from the drivers side front to back?

In terms of LLY injector problems, GM had sorted out the internal failures with the 2004 ½ redesign, but the LLY Duramax would occasionally exhibit a trouble code for the injectors, but in most cases it turned out to be an issue with the injector harness rubbing through and causing a short or open in the wiring.

Are there problems with the Duramax Diesel 6.6L?

Have not had problems with injectors, but have had problem with the fuel line that go’s around the turbo housing,failing I have 27,800 miles on my stock 08 LMM. The only thing the dealer has repaired is a defective water sensor. I’m currently looking at one.

What is the Allison Transmission part number for Duramax?

Neutral safety backup switch issues are another common Allison Transmission problem on the GM Duramax versions. If the D doesn’t light up on your gear indicator, this could be the issue. It is part number 29540479.
