Why does my Silverado Sierra make a squeaking sound?
I took my main belt off and started the motor to see if the squeak was coming from the cam shaft in the engine it self, where was no squeak so that ruled that out for me. You can remove the belt and start the engine for a quick test but not to long. I’m having this problem also. This has been ongoing for the last 7 weeks.

Why does my truck squeak when I Jack it up?
Just for your information, the grease worked it’s way in and the squeaking/creaking sound went away. 1 of the boots is torn so I’ll just have to grease it more often. I jacked the truck up twice now and checked for play in any direction and whatever else I could inspect and couldn’t find anything wrong. Better safe than sorry I always say.
