Why does my 14 focus lose power under acceleration?

Crud in the bottom of the fuel tank blocking the fuel filters because it was nearly run out of fuel. Engine starves for fuel under acceleration, but runs fine when just cruising. My 14 focus just had a similar issue.

Why does my car judder at low rpm?

The car seems to be very shaky and judders at low rpm and has lost a considerable amount of accelerating power. When I get to about 2-2500rpm it seems to mostly smooth out but the power is still not there.

What causes sudden loss of power under acceleration?

If it is air starvation check the air intake pipes. Once had one that collapsed under load shutting down the air into the engine. One of the ribs had come out of it (it is like a fabric type air pipe from the filter to the engine). Just remembered; had a new water pump and cam belt fitted at MOT in January.

Why does my car judder when I Turn on the ignition?

It could be due to worn-out friction material or a pressure plate defect (or combination of both). It could also be caused by an oil leak contaminating the clutch plate. If there is a fault with the clutch, you will need to find out whether it’s a mechanical issue or whether the clutch facing has been contaminated.

Why does my Alfa Romeo judder under load?

I had a similar issue with my Alfa a few weeks back, it became increasingly hesitant under load (when accelerating), especially from low RPM, when looking under the bonnet it was obvious that the flexi air intake hose had perished and one of the hose clips had come loose.
