You’ll need a special socket, to access the bolt that attaches the up/down bracket, or use a vice grip, just be aware that you may damage the bolt head using the vice grip. anyway, back out the screw & remove it.

Why does my Tahoe drivers seat stop working?
I have a 07 Chevy Tahoe. The Drivers seat stopped working. I have checked all fuses and wires, so I got a new seat module and took it to the Chevy place to get programmed. Still did not work. I took the seat out and hooked a power probe up and nothing. I unhooked the seat module and it worked.
