Where is the crank fuse on a 2005 Chevy Duramax?

Where is the crank fuse on a 2005 Chevy Duramax?

I traced that wire back to the fuse panel under the hood on the driver’s side. There is a CRANK fuse as well as a starter relay in that panel. When you turn the key to start, the fuse gets 12v but the starter relay is not getting voltage to the solenoid wire. Also noticed that the tow/haul button isn’t working and it was before the issue.

Why does my Chevy Duramax not crank up?

So after trouble shooting the ignition by sending power (12v) through the crank fuse and turning the key, found that all wiring is good. Would have to be one of the ignition fuses. Checked all fuses with test light and found 40amp ignition fuse to be bad. Replaced and attempted to start. All working as it should at this time.

Any suggestions? swap the relay with another in the box and see if the relay is the problem. 5 people found this helpful.

Why does my 2005 Chevy 2500 HD not start?

My 2005 Chevy 2500 HD won’t start. Engine won’t turn over with key at all. Batteries are hot. You can take a power probe and shoot 12v to starter solenoid wire and it will crank and run fine.
