Ford S-Max: Having a nervous breakdown!! I have a 56 plate Ford S-Max. Yesterday the front wipers stopped working without warning. i.e. started the car and they didn’t work. I swapped the fuse for the adjacent 30A fuse (Heated screen) the wipers still didn’t work but the heated screen did so fuses are ok.

Why does the bonnet open when its closed?
IE the bonnet sensor is triggering the alarm ? Of course the two may be unrelated but I do need to sort this as the alarm went off a 1 and 3.15 this morning…..Mmmm Thanks ! Thanks for the replies.. Does anyone have a diagram that shows the position of said switch ? I see wiring connections to the bonnet catch so assume its within the mechanism ?
