I purchased my 2014 Ford Explorer from the dealership. It was a new vehicle but did have about 4,800 miles on it because it was a demo car. The day after I purchased the car I drove on the interstate and the drivers side black trim running up the width of the side of the windshield flew off on to the interstate, so it was not retrievable.

Ford should redesign the trim attachment system. When it flys off it could cause an accident. I am just short of drilling some holes and screwing the trim into the body frame. $300 for lousy piece of plastic trim mounted on a car is bad planning.
