How to check for a heated seat warmer?

Edit: David Pike at motorcity mechanic recommended a scan tool for checking codes. He indicated that there should be some DTCs pertaining to the seat warmer malfunction. Most OBDII scanners only access 3-4 modules but in order to drill down to this level you’d need a scanner that would read data from all modules (very expensive).

Where are the relays for the heated seats?

All relays for the hetead seats (front, rear) and the heated steering wheel are in the module under the driver seat. Disconnect the white 5-way connector from the heated seat module. Check the resistance between pin 4 and ground (Driver seat). It should have the same value how the resistance between pin 5 and ground (right heated seat).

Is the heated seat on the driver side working?

Driver side heated seat does not work, but passenger does. I checked connections from the white harness to the harnesses near the rear of the seat by verifying continuity. All connections are okay. Not sure what to check next. Is it possible the heated seat module under the seat is bad?

What should the resistance be between heated seat and recliner?

Different value (s) between left and right seat means a broken connection between Heated seat module and the heater pad in the cushion. You will find a gray 4-way connector between cushion and recliner. Check the wire to this connectors, Check the resistance on the other side of this connector. The value should be 4-7 Ohm.
