Why is my power sliding door not working?

Note: The Power Sliding doors may have stoped working due to a problem with the sliding doors such as an obstruction, excessive resistance to movement ect. What to do if your power sliding door bounces?

You have a broken or shorted wire in the wire harness ‘chain’ that runs under the door opening. Un-bolt the end near the front side of the suspect door, take apart the chain, inspect and repair. Or, if you see issues, buy a Dorman replacement harness. (There are several youTube vids on how to do this) Sweet! Thanks!

Why does the sliding door open when the car is not on?

When to repair a power sliding van door?

This repair is for when you have symptoms of the door on the side of the van passenger door that is only opening a few inches when you push your key fob to open the door or when you push the designated button on the overhead console inside the van.

Although your power motor for the door may have quit working it’s more likely that the wiring going to the motor under the running board for the rear passengers has broken and the wiring needs repaired.
