Where is the heater valve control knob on a MGB?
The heater valve control knob is easy to sort. Either the cable is rusted in it’s outer, the knob itself is stuck or the valve on the RH engine block is seized. All are easy to strip, free and rebuild.

What to do if your MGB is popping?
Mick Rick, Check for a vacuum leak around the intake manifold, hoses, and carbs. Check tightness of carb to manifold nuts. Spray WD-40 around all intake connections to see if you get a change in operation. Regards, Larry C. ’74 B/GT & ’69 midget

What should the clearance be on a MGB tappet?
When adjusting the clearances the books suggest that they are done cold at .015″ This is a good starting point. The LED models in later years had a sticker on the bonnet shut panel which said to set them at .013″ HOT. So when the motor is hot remove the rocker cover and check them with the motor running.
