What kind of wire is in the ignition on a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle?
Note that on my 1973 Standard Beetle, there is a brown/blue wire coming out of the ignition switch that works perfectly as a Key-In ground. It is connected to a gray/black wire, which is opposite from what the VW wiring diagrams show.

Fuse Box and Light Switch. You have to find the fuse box or the power distribution center (PDC). You will get the fuse panel under the dashboard and the PDC under the hood. The brake light switch is also to be found under the dashboard and check if its plunger touches the brake pedal arm.
