Why does my power steering fuse keep blowing?
That fuse is not the main fuse for the power steering. Now this fuse blows every time it install a new one but I don’t know the reason. Does anybody have the answer for me? First Welcome to the forum.

I’m new! I recently replaced my power steering pump because it stopped working (the warning light came on) but it turned out not to be the problem, instead it was fuse no. 7 that cause the problem. That fuse is not the main fuse for the power steering.
Where is the power steering pump fuse located?
They are on the underside of the fuse box, by the strut tower. you need to undo the two bolts that hold the fuse box place and turn it over you will see them. You may need to remove the air box to get enough movement Click to expand… earth X173 it meant to be under the fuse box which has FL4 in it, it will be quite a thick cable 10 mm diameter.

Why does electric power assisted steering not work?
This is not convenient for hydraulics as the hydraulic fluid being pumped through the system will have a set viscosity (how easily a fluid flows) therefore some alternate form of restriction has to be used.
