Is there a 4WD light on my Chevy Silverado?
My 2001 chevy Silverado is doing the same thing. I got my transmission replaced and when I got it back, it kept displaying the service 4wd light on my dash. I’ve had it back for maybe a total of 4 days and its been Locked into 4 high maybe 3 times. When it gets locked it wont come out, it takes a minute.

I am hoping someone here can help me out. I have an 04 silverado 1500 crew cab 4wd. The truck has auto 4wd, 2wd, 4wd hi, 4wd low switch. I always keep the truck in 2wd unless needed other wise but I have noticed on more then one occasion now that my switch will automatically engage into auto 4wd from 2wd.

I’m new to this forum and hope that someone can help. 2005 Silverado 1500 5.3L 4×4 4L60E transmission. Trans will not shift out of first gear, brake and ABS dash lights on. Check perameters with scanner, no codes, VSS at 3mph all the time, spedo not working, at 0mph all the time.
How often does the 4WD light come on on a Silverado?
Question: I have a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and my SERVICE 4WD light comes on about once a week. When the light is on, the truck won’t engage into 4-wheel drive. When I turn my truck off and start it again, the 4-wheel drive will work until the next time the light comes on.
