Is there a problem with my Sierra door lock?
I have a 2009 Sierra 1500 standard cab 4wd 4.8 with the same issue and a little more sometimes. Electric driver door lock won’t work (constant issue). The switch works for the passenger side lock. The fuse is good, replaced actuator twice (to ensure I didn’t get a bad one), and replaced the switch.

What happens when you turn the key on a Sierra?
With the key in the run position all the dashlight indicators work, the radio, fan motor, parking lights all work. The power windows, door locks, dome lights, headlights don’t work. I also get a message on the dash that the air bag needs service , the tire pressure system is blank and the fuel mileage is blank. where is it located? No click.

Why does my Chevy Silverado lock and unlock?
2 people found this helpful. While driving my 2009 Silverado just started doing the same thing with the door locks. When the door locks start acting up the shift indicator flies back between Park and drive. The vehicle loses power and transmission shifts funny with all kinds of lights coming on on the dash.
