My 2005 Corvette w/automatic trans often gets stuck in park. I know that this is a very common problem and I am told that this is caused by a solenoid not firing to release shifter from park. Because of this, I feel that it is absurd for the dealer to want $800. to replace the shifter when some microswitch may not be doing its job.
