Fuel rail pressure is 0.52 volts KOEO and occasionally go to 1.2 volts while cranking, would show about 70psi KOEO oand 650psi cranking. So I figured the HPFP is bad. So I replaced it (there was no metal in filters or any lines). Put all new seals on fuel lines and replaced the fuel lines to the rails.

Tried starting it and bleeding it for an hour still nothing. Water in fuel light on again, drained separator no water. Took the HCFM apart cleaned it out put new gaskets in it. Spent another hour trying to start and bleed it still no joy, again it set code P2291.

P0087 Code, 6.4L, replaced everything! I have a 2008 F250 with the 6.4L diesel. The truck stumbles on takeoff at about 20mph. It will completely cut out and rail pressure will drop. If I stay on the pedal, it will take a few seconds that it kicks back in like normal.
What can cause code p0087 rail pressure too low?
What could have cause this code to come on I was driving goin about 55mph and the check engine light came on and also it a made sound like if it was starving for diesel ( loud tapping) and one more thing the truck also has 3/4 tank of diesel so in other words it was not low on diesel. Sound’s like the hpfp is going out.
