Why does my Ford Focus not have enough power?

Why does my Ford Focus not have enough power?

Drive at higher revs when there are higher loads (i.e. steep hills) and keep the car in lower gears to keep it in the highest power/torque range. The issue is to get it to move from a rest. Once you’re at say 20km/h or 30km/h you can feel the power and you don’t even need to get into low gear when there are steep hills.

What’s the issue with the Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi?

Anyway it’s the 1.6 TDCi 115hp 6-gear manual transmission. The issue is not really “accelerating” in per se. The real issue is to get from a rest (0 km/h) to say 20km/h, especially if on a slope. If I could describe it in a few words I’d say that the 1st gear feels “longer” than the 2nd. The acceleration just isn’t there.

How can I get more power from my Ford Focus?

Use more revs, and slip the clutch more. Drive at higher revs when there are higher loads (i.e. steep hills) and keep the car in lower gears to keep it in the highest power/torque range. The issue is to get it to move from a rest.

What should the Revs be on a Ford Focus?

Use more revs, and slip the clutch more. Drive at higher revs when there are higher loads (i.e. steep hills) and keep the car in lower gears to keep it in the highest power/torque range. So an example, bring revs up to 2K, then ease clutch out, never letting revs drop below 2K.
