What kind of fluid is in a Durango?

Note that the OEM differential fluid was completely SHOT on my Durango at ~36K when I changed it last year (rear much worse than front). The transmission fluid looked and smelled okay but there was some metal debris in the magnets in my transmission pan and one of the magnets was broken.
