When does the low pressure AC switch cut out?

I know I have 3 12oz cans plus 1lb in it. The pressure switch isn’t supposed to cut out till 25psi and I watch it cutting out right before 30 on the gauge. The cycling gets worse as the temp drops. When it’s 85plus out it won’t cycle but at 80 degrees it will drop to 30psi and start cycling.

What happens when you jump the low pressure switch?

Jump the low pressure switch only to test the circuit. Low AC pressure will prevent the relay from sending power to the AC compressor clutch. If you jump the low pressure switch with the engine running, do it only for a few seconds. Do NOT jump the low pressure switch to operate the compressor non-stop so you can add refrigerant.
