After the lift sits overnight I go to drive or raise the platform and the lift will work fine for a couple minutes and then I start having problems.

Why is my scissor lift not working properly?
Take a look at your pump motor and main motor contactor .If you where running the unit with the bad batteries .You would cause high amps . Also if the bushes are hanging up in the motor .It will give you issues.You can also have a cable breaking down under load .

Why does my HDT escapee not release the brake?
If you pull the service line off the brake chamber on that side, try to put air to that brake chamber to release that brake,and air comes out the service port, you have a bad brake chamber. I caged thw cans so I can get it home.
What does it mean when brakes won’t release?
Any air leaking from those holes is not good. If you have that big a leak when you push in the yellow knob that the pressure just drops constantly, turn off the truck and listen. That big of a leak should be VERY obvious. What are you calling the service port? It sure sounds like one brake can is bad.
