My 2015 Ford Edge has a power liftgate which has closed and now won’t open. When I depress the key fob or the button on the dash the lights come on as if it will open, but will not. The manual open from outside the rear of the car also will not open the liftgate.

All i know is the engine was still running and holding the trunk release will not work and remote will not work. had to shut off engine and arm car agian, unarm car and than the trunk release worked. Window was not touch or open and shut.

If you press the small square button first and open the tailgate window then the rear door will not open. Also there is an on/off switch for the rear door in the glove box mostly for Ballet Parking…Good Luck

What to do if your lift gate won’t open?
