Why is the driver side heated seat not working?
As a follow up, the driver side has failed again but the passenger side is still going strong. I have not opened up the driver side so I do not know for sure, but, I am wondering if the addition of the wire made it fail. Commpared to the passenger side where I just removed the matting, the burnt wire, and soldered the factory wire.
Is it hard to replace a seat heater?

What to do when your heated seat stops working?
Passenger and heated steering wheel works perfect. Driver side won’t stay on, I press the button, hear the click then it goes off like 2 seconds later.. Sometimes stays on for 10 seconds or a little more then turns off.. Try unplugging the connector under the seat and then re-connecting it.

Id rather not replace the heating element in the seat, if it’s something else. It shuts off when it sees a fault. When it does work, try wiggling in the seat and see if it cuts back off.

How often does the driver side seat heat up?
The driver side seat only seems to heat up about 40% of the time. Sometimes when I turn it on, after a few seconds it shuts off completely until I turn the truck off. Htd steering wheel and all the other seats work fine. This is absolutely frusterating.
Where is the heated seat module on a Cummins diesel?
Cycle key and works again, then flashes and turns off, ohm wires to Passenger seat ok, replaced module to heated seats works fine, it is underneath the drivers seat base… Hope this helps….. Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?
