Why is my truck making a whistling noise?
If you hear a whistling sound while driving, there are a few different places you can check out to find a probable cause. The most common reason for this noise being made is a vacuum leak, due to worn or cracked hoses.
Why does my Chevy Silverado make a hissing noise when I press the accelerator?
I have a 2004 Chevy silverado 1500 with a 5.3. It recently started making a hissing noise or kind of a sucking air noise coming from the drivers side of the engine like by the intake when you press the accelerator. I just got the intake gasket changed still didn’t fix it does anybody know what this could be? Man if you figure it out, post it up!
Why does my gmcsierra1500 whistle when parked?
My 2004 GMCSierra1500 has had a (non-electrical in nature) whine/whistle in the engine compartment since I purchased it (used). It seems to be throttle-related in some way, as it manifests both when in motion as well as when parked.
Why does my car whistle when I give it gas?
Maybe something is just lose or something is not completely sealed and some air is getting out. That would make a whistling noise for sure, and when you give it more gas the air is being forced into the throttle body at a more rapid rate so it might not escape as much hence the sound going away.
Why does my vacume make a whistling noise?
That would make a whistling noise for sure, and when you give it more gas the air is being forced into the throttle body at a more rapid rate so it might not escape as much hence the sound going away. I’ll give that a go this weekend. Thanks! I would second what hotrod has mentioned. Sounds as though it may be a vacume leak causing you problems.
