Why is my key fob stuck in the ignition?

Key fob is stuck in the ignition and car won’t start dodg… My car has an automatic transmission. The battery may be dead and if so the key is stuck because there is no power to the safety interlock.

Can you unlock a car with a fob?

When I grab the door handle with the key in my hand the door does not unlock and the lights dont come on, so it is just not seeing any of the fobs. I can still unlock/lock the doors with the buttons on all the fobs and start the car by pushing the button with the fob.

Not sure about the trunk issue, but always try the cheap fix first. Dead or low volt battery in fob, or something you did changed a signal somewhere in the cars wiring/electrical system. These cars are very sensitive to that (insanely so in my opinion).
