Why is my JCB 214 series 3 not starting?

Why is my JCB 214 series 3 not starting?

The machine could be jumped but could not start itself even with a new battery. I checked all connections and they were fine. It ended up being the starter itself, we replaced it and all is well. We found our starter on ebay for around $130 and it is of good quality. Hope this helps. Thanks O2Silver.

What kind of transmission fluid does a JCB 214 use?

Is the JCB 214s extend a hoe a good machine?

The extend-a-hoe is nice, but not a lot of power when you get it slid all the way out. The machine is stable, probably one of the most stable on the market, or it is supposed to be anyway. Overall it is a good machine.

Is the JCB 214s all wheel steering available?

See http://construction.newholland.com/…RL=ENEU&lineid=415&seriesid=2558&modelid=8867 JCB makes the S machine in three different sizes. And Cat makes all-wheel steering (with smaller front wheels/tires) available as an option on the 442D in Europe but not North America.

How many turns does a JCB 214 have?

Steering wise, JD 2.5 turns lock to lock, JCB seems about 10 turns but I’m sure is more like 4 or 5 and turning radius is large. I’m not saying you won’t like it. Lots of guys do. Unfortunately you can’t drive it to try things out. Good luck finding a good used machine. It’s always a challenge. Who makes that trans?

What to do if your JCB 214 transmission goes bad?

First check to make sure your battery voltage is >11 volts when this occurs. If it is lower the relays / transmission valves don’t have enough energy to shift. Second, check to see if the layshaft relay is functioning. If it is going bad it will sometimes shift into 3rd/4th and sometimes not.

When was the first JCB 214s backhoe made?

Here is the first 4x4x4 backhoe on the world. made by Hidromek of Turkey. it was manufactured in 1991. JCB folowed that application… later, Case (european) and others. Now Cat had started producing 4x4x4 backhoe (444E). I think sooner or later this design will replace with regular types.

Why does a car battery not start after jumping?

Inexpensive jumper cables that are not thick enough to carry sufficient current won’t perform to the level you expect, and your car won’t start after a jump. Cables that are too long have more internal resistance, and they may not transfer enough of the donor battery’s power to your car.

Can a bad jumper cable cause a car to not start?

If this switch is bad or gets damaged, this information cannot be sent to the engine computer, and your car won’t start after a jumpstart. Your jumper cables are bad: All jumper cables are not created equal.
