Why is my GMC Canyon crew cab not working?

To find out once it crapped out, my 2006 GMC Canyon Crew Cab had the original battery. I replaced it last week with a brand new battery. Over last summer the battery went dead from sitting around for long periods of times. Thats when we found out the power door locks and drivers window wouldnt work.

Shut the truck off and start again. Put in gear and you should hear the door locks activate again and your driver side window should work again. The resistor and connector is an easy fix with the link ssgjurista gave you. I think the problem is the contacts between the two most times rather than the resistor itself.

If no voltage is detected on any or some of the wires, the wiring in the door jamb should be wiggled while the voltage is monitored to see if the is a fluctuation. If there is, it indicates broken or loose connections in the door jamb.

Same thing happened to my 04 Canyon four door after I disconnected the battery to replace the vent solenoid for the charcoal canister. There is a single relay that controls both the power locks and the driver’s side window, located inside the driver’s side window switch.
