If starter does not engage, check continuity from the 304 white wire on the start relay to the 304 white wire on the starter relay mounted to the starter. I am assuming you have already checked the fuse for the solenoids.

If the solenoid does not pull in the switch, the start disable relay circuit will be open. It is wired normally open. When the arm rest is up and key is on then it is closed and will allow starting. Started the excavator this morning to move it 50 feet out of the way, started fine, shut it off, about a hour later came back and tried to move it and when turning the key on it would beep, fuel needle moves, dash lights came on which is all normal but when I hit they key everything goes out and starter doesn’t engage or make any noise.

Is the 301.5 serial number a 301.8 serial number?
It’s actually a 301.8 Serial No. is BFA00973. There is no switch in the RHS console but the wiring is there and it is open. I have metered that across to the LHS console – it is connected via the P977 wire. The schematic (2010-05-31_200232_301.5.pdf) you sent to the other guy is close enough to mine.
