When I restarted the engine, the codes were gone and the engine ran like it suppose to. When the cam sensor came I installed it anyway and now the car drives fine. If you turn the key on and off three time in a row, your engine code will be displayed where the odometer is located. No need to go to a shop! 19 people found this helpful.

Why does my 2002 PT Cruiser get hot?

Yo I’m having the same problem With my 2002 PT Cruiser. Only last time it almost over heat it actually was hot. The first time it did there was plenty of coolant in the reservoir and in the engine. It can’t be the water pump because I replaced it. I’m wondering if it is a bad thermostat or a fan causing my problems.. 33 people found this helpful.

Should the radiator cooling fan always run when the a / C is?

A/C isn’t cooling ok till you start driving. Sitting still it doesn’t cool and the rad fan only seems to run when engine temp is calling for it. I changed the low speed fan and high speed fan relays and get the same result. Any advice?? Day2 Test all fuses with a test light ..

Cooling fan not coming on- replaced a bunch of times, and every time it works for a while then will die… Fan works when I test it out with a ground and a positive wire from the battery. Only overheats when no airflow over the radiator.

Why is the air conditioning in my car not working?

Having your car’s air conditioning go out suddenly can ruin your day fast. The most common causes of broken air conditioning are leaks or compressor issues. If your air is blowing cool but not cold, the problem could be a clogged filter, cooling fan problem, radiator trouble, or it could simply be that you need to recharge your AC.

Why is my air conditioner not blowing cold?

Check to see that the cooling fans on the condenser or radiator are running when the air conditioning is on. Look for any restrictions like leaves, bugs or dirt that would keep air from passing over the condenser. Check the cabin air filter to ensure that it is not clogged. Check the pressures in the system using a manifold gauge set.

Why AC clutch won’t engage If the clutch doesn’t engage, the problem could be a blown fuse, an open in the wire to the clutch coil, a bad clutch coil, a poor ground, or a low pressure lockout. AC compressor clutches receive power in a number of ways.

Why is the pulley on my AC compressor not working?

Check the front side of the clutch to examine its condition. Also, find out whether the clutch and the pulley are spinning. If only the pulley is rotating, the compressor clutch is having an issue, which could be stemming from several sources – a blown fuse, bad clutch oil, low-pressure lockout, or an open wire in the oil.

Our 2006 was doing this, found that there is a problem with PT radiator fans, they have two speeds and the low speed often burns out, you can crawl under there disconnect the power and add power and ground to 2 pins then try the other pin, mine wouldnt work on one speed but would did on high. Google this.

Google-compression test, easy. Autozone will loan the tester.) both require you to get in there. You can pick up a used head at any salvage place (or have yours cleanedup) and order the head gasket on ebay (might as well do the valve cover/sparkplug tubes also). Good luck. 87 people found this helpful.
