Why is my abs light not working on my car?

This condition may be due to faulty vehicle wiring, a failed wheel speed sensor or vehicle speed sensor (VSS) tone ring damage inside the rear differential case. The base brake system will continue to function as normal. Follow appropriate Service Procedure based on DTC.

Why is my abs light on with c1175?

If there is a hard or intermittent wiring fault, the current may at times be high or low causing a C1175. A wiring concern may also cause noise in the circuit that can be interpreted by the module as an erratic speed signal, which will set the C1236.

No problems with the Speedo and they checked the rear sensor on the Diff, all was ok. According to the tech, there is no communication with the ABS module. Ford wants $1200 for the repair ($800 parts $400 labor).

Panic stop from about 35mph and the pedal felt like ABS kicked in, slowly, and I stopped fine, no lockup. Right after that the ABS light turned on. Coming off the interstate I tried this again at around 55mph. This produced a sweet 20 degree rotation on the rear trying to switch ends with the front. Left rear tire locked for sure.
