Why is the boot / bonnet warning light stuck on?
My V36’s boot/bonnet warning light on the dash is permanently on. I can’t tell from the little picture if its the boot or bonnet it’s referring to. I’ve had a quick look to check and manually repress all possible sensor things but I couldn’t really find many. Any ideas? I have disconnected the battery and reconnected (i.e. performed a reset).

Yup, need to try to work it as mentioned above. Once opened (fingers crossed) plenty of WD40 while you repeatedly work the latch open & closed with a screwdriver.

The fault usually is a consequence of not cleaning and lubricating the latch and cable often enough, spraying some penetrating fluid may help but leave it for 30 minutes after spraying before pulling the release again. Will try a good spray and keep the fingers crossed. Presumably still attached if it’s resisting at all?
