I did a search here but didn’t find anything similar. Work at a ford dealer and it’s very common the audio control module -ACM (the radio box behind the front panel ) is problematic. We have replaced a few.

When the radio was on it made a loud POP sound and died. No radio or CD. It started working again after I turned the car off and on. Has anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts? Is it a harbinger of the radio dying? I did a search here but didn’t find anything similar. Click to expand…
