Hyster 50 forklift won’t start… Hyster 50 forklift won’t start cold. Starter motor is fine. Occasionally if will start, then runs fine all day for additional same-day starting, but the next day, it won’t start again… temperature in about 45-50 F where it’s stored. The air filter is clean, the fuel tank is full of propane.
What does it mean when your forklift wont start?
This quick test can tell you a lot about your system. If the lights did not light at all you may have a blown main power fuse, corroded battery connections. Loose or broken ground connection. Don’t forget to check the connection at the starter and or starter solenoid.

What kind of regulator does Hyster forklift use?
Sounds like his mechanic prob checked all the simple stuff and I would hope that included the lockoff. Some Hysters use the Aisan regulator that has the electric lockoff built into it. So without a model or serial number we’re kinda shooting in the dark. If it has a distributor cap that at least tells me what it probably isn’t.
