Why does my gas light go off when I fill the tank?

If the fuel level falls to 1/4 tank, the evaporative emissions tests will not run and the light may go off. Fill the tank and the tests will not run until we reach the 3/4 tank level. This could take several days, but when we meet the conditions, the light will again come on.
