Why does my Ford Focus judder when accelerating?

It started happening again and after reading this forum I decided to change the coil pack and leads. Again it stopoed for a short while and now when driving in gear 3, accelerating betwern 1500 to 2000 rpm it jerks. Sometimes its bad where the car thinks it is going to stall but doesn’t or sometimes its a slight judder or a vigorous one.

Why does my car judder at low rpm?

The car seems to be very shaky and judders at low rpm and has lost a considerable amount of accelerating power. When I get to about 2-2500rpm it seems to mostly smooth out but the power is still not there.

When did the Ford Focus start losing power?

The first case of this came with the Ford Focus vehicles that were manufactured between 1998 and 2004. The complication was identified in models with 1.6 liter engines. The second most notable occasion when such a scenario happened was when the Ford Focus models built between 2012 and 2014 also experienced the same problem.

Why does my car stutter when I accelerate?

An acceleration problem is usually the result of insufficient fuel, air, or spark during the combustion process. Worn-out spark plugs or the electrical cables attached to them are one of the most common causes of cars stuttering. A deficient spark plug causes the engine to misfire, making your car jerk when you accelerate.

Why does my Ford Focus judder in 5th gear?

The last time I put in a tenner at Morrisons and it has got worse since. Even cruising along at around 60 in 5th gear it does it. Someone suggested filling the tank up about half full and blasting down the motorway to clear any blockages. Any ideas ?
